My intent is not to be negative, but seems most of you are not doing your part. There were only four of you present to install the Faculty Exhibit. I ended up working on the installation and lighting on Monday until 9:30 PM, then finishing touches on Tuesday before the opening. It was part of your class responsibility yet only a handful of you came to the reception.
The Santiago Project presented itself, but I don't think any of you went to see the space. Although, looking at the comments on the blog I noticed there is interest. I am not sure if it is still an open offer.
Your second project is due this weekend. You can't expect the same few that helped hang the Faculty show to do all the work. This is a class project. You are not expected to be the artists, but you are expected to be the curators, as well as installers, and everything else. Depending on how it goes this weekend I may change the final project to a conceptual project, more similar to the portfolio project. Lets see... Remember, these are not my projects. They are yours.

You have a right to be disappointed and I apologize for my role in the shortcomings of the class, particularly the reception. I had every intent to be there.

Sorry guys! I really wanted to be there to the opening tonight, but I've had to put a family priority first. I've tried to be there when possible.
ReplyDelete@Laura - You have been one of the most active participants in the class and I'm sure no one could begrudge your absence. :)
